Oh, the tantrums.
I think I mentioned yesterday that we had no clue what to do with the discipline thing. Still there. Last night we ran errands, and the Boy was very good. We gave him a few minutes to play outside when we got back (since for ONCE it wasn't raining), and when it was time to come in he threw a tantrum that continued all the way up to bedtime.
I wanted to do the whole counting to three thing. But how does one START that? My Boy gets so upset that he is incapable of listening or comprehending what any Parent might be telling him, so I'm not sure if we should explain it beforehand, when he's NOT flipping out, or just start it when he starts to flip out and hope for the best?
Add to that the fact that I have no idea how to get him to STAY in time out if we put him there. He can open his door, he can get out of a chair....
Also please add to that the fact that I hate to make him sad. Sigh.
